The secret is to turn right at Wells, NV. Then drive through the high desert at night towards the border at Jackpot, NV. Gasoline got cheaper.
Boise, Idaho
So Wikipedia says: Boise was named by early 19th-century French Canadian trappers for the tree-lined river (French boisé, “wooded”) that provided relief for travelers crossing the desolate Snake River plain. On my arrival, I had a great hamburger with fries and Brussel Sprouts. Boise is a fast-growing town and there is a lot of wealth moving in.
