Ketchum is a cute town without being overpoweringly cute. A lot of wealth here and large pickups. The area was made famous by the railroad that developed the resort.
So Wikipedia says: Boise was named by early 19th-century French Canadian trappers for the tree-lined river (French boisé, “wooded”) that provided relief for travelers crossing the desolate Snake River plain. On my arrival, I had a great hamburger with fries and Brussel Sprouts. Boise is a fast-growing town and there is a lot of wealth moving in.
There is so much steep terrain here. Even the some of “Greens” are steep. There is a wonderful lodge at the top of the mountain that serves a delicious $6 hot chocolate.
